Soy Waxes


EcoSoya® CB-XceL

EcoSoya® CB-XceLtm is 100% soy and molecularly blueprinted to control polymorphism.  It has extreme resistance to bloom (white frosting) and “wet spots,” while producing an excellent scent throw with fragrances.  It maintains an even burn pool with consistent color retention. CB-XceLtm requires one pour and new technology allows for top surface re-melting.  CB-XceLtm has the highest melt point of all our container waxes, enabling shipment to all climates.

EcoSoya® CB-Advanced Soy

EcoSoya® CB-Advanced Soy has extreme resistance to bloom (white frosting) and “wet spots”. It contracts slightly to produce a uniform beautiful appearance, requires only one pour, has good scent throw with fragrances, and a creamy white appearance. EcoSoya® CB-Advanced Soy is made from pure soybeans and carefully selected botanical oils. Candles made with CB-Advanced Soy resist frosting, have a smooth top surface and an even burn pool with consistent color retention.

Container Candle Soy Wax

EcoSoya® CB-135

EcoSoya® CB-135 has excellent adhesion to containers without preheating, requires only one pour, has an excellent scent throw with both fragrances and essential oils and a creamy white appearance with some potential to bloom (white frosting) when using dyes. EcoSoya® CB-135 is made from pure 100% soybeans and carefully selected botanical oils. Candles made with CB-135 have a soft creamy appearance and a smooth flat top surface and  ships well in all climates.

Molded Candle Soy Wax

EcoSoya® PB

 EcoSoya® PB makes all molded candles such as votives, pillars, tarts, etc. It has excellent scent throw working best with fragrances and is self-releasing from molds. EcoSoya® PB is made from pure 100% soybeans and carefully selected botanical oils. Candles made with EcoSoya® PB have a creamy appearance and ship well in all climates.

Wax Additives

 

 

Stearic Acid

 

Stearic Acid, also known as Stearin, increases the hardness and opacity of wax. Typical usage is 1-3 TBS per pound (2-5% by weight).  Also commonly used in soaps and lotions as an emolient and thickener.

Wicks

Cotton Core Wicks
A cotton outer braid surrounds an inner filament of cotton. Commonly used in votives, pillars and containers and are constructed with 100% natural fibers.The cotton core wick produces a robust flame which helps control carbon buildup throughout the burn cycle.

LX Wicks
The LX wick is a uniquely braided, coreless, flat wick manufactured with stabilizing threads that ensure an optimum burn profile. This allows for a very stable and consistent flame, which minimizes, or eliminates, carbon buildup (mushrooming) while reducing afterglow, smoke and soot. The LX series of wicks is designed to improve the burning of paraffin and vegetable waxes in pillars as well as containers.

HTP Wicks
The HTP wick is flat braided in design, but with thin paper fibers intertwined. The result is a cleaner burning, self-trimming wick with additional structural strength, controlled curling and a hotter, more efficient flame.  Combined with its high melt wax coating, the HTP wick is an excellent alternative in hard-to-burn applications and is a good all around choice for paraffin, gel and vegetable candles that require hotter burn conditions.
